The Minister of justice speaks

The Attorney general of the federation and the honourable minister of justice, Chief Micheal Kaase Aandoakaa, has declared that upholding the rule is a sine qua non for genuine democratic practice.

He made the declaration recently at the second Faculty of Arts Lecture Series, during which he gave an address on the topic,"Humanities and the rule of Law; chanllenges for Nigeria" at the university's 1000 seater auditirium. He explained that upholding the rule of law was anchored on four principles namely;
separation of powers,
constitutiuonal supremacy,
Independence of juduciary,
and Protection of individual rights

The minister drew parallel between the humanities and the law discipline by explaining that law itself can not be properly understood except by first understanding human nature which is only possible through the studies of the humanities
